ABOUT
While applying to university,I faced a challenge that urged me to reflect on the concept of protection,
and what signifies being 'hard' or 'unapproachable'.Advised by friends and teachers, I contemplated
creating art with spoons adorned with snails or objects wrapped in needles—symbols of difficulty in
approach due to their protective nature.Yet, this exploration led me to ponder the antitheses of
protection and hardness Who defines these concepts? Teachers, books, dictionaries? Indeed, but in the
realm of art,it is the creator who bestows meaning upon everything. This thought inspired me to embrace
warmth in my creation, akin to the sun's embrace or the protective warmth of an ovum.It symbolizes new
life cradled within a mother's womb—safe, yet paradoxically, the very essence of this new beginning can
feel like a confinement to the mother, symbolized by a dark void. This piece, titled "The Rebirth", is a
plea for release, an invitation to transcend boundaries. It's an acknowledgment of the complex interplay
between protection and freedom, between holding on and letting go.
